The Daldowie Doocot

Once part of the Daldowie estate, this “A” listed dovecote was by June 1999 in a ruinous state, sitting in the corner of a sewage works at Daldowie. By June 2000, the project had relocated the red sandstone roundhouse almost a kilometre away to a public park, and restored the structure to its original form, including the unusual multi-curved roof and the internal ladder mechanism.
